A slow rifle powder Alliant lists for big game loads in .270, the 7mm magnums and .300 Winchester Magnum.
The classic slow Reloder, and for a long stretch the default answer in .270 Winchester, 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum. It meters unusually well for a powder that slow and has a deep record of accuracy in belted magnums. Its known weakness is temperature — it predates the TZ line and it drifts, which is exactly why RL-23 exists alongside it in the same speed band. If you hunt across seasons, either verify in both or use the temperature-stable sibling.

Grain shape
Long extruded sticks with a heavy web — that wall thickness is what puts it this far down the chart on the same basic chemistry as the faster Reloders. Long grains bridge at a case mouth and get cut by a measure, so magnum charges are usually thrown short and trickled up.

Alliant cites excellent metering. Heavy-bullet standard rifle loads are listed as a secondary use.
