Alliant Power Pro 1200-R
A high-volume .223 range powder aimed at shooters loading large quantities on progressive equipment.
A double-base spherical built for one situation: loading .223 in quantity on a progressive press. It meters with a consistency no extruded stick can touch, ignites and performs predictably across temperature and humidity swings, and gives sensible case fill for high-volume range ammunition. It is not a benchrest powder and does not pretend to be — the extruded medium powders still own the accuracy conversation in that case. Like most ball powders it wants to be run near its intended pressure; reduced loads burn dirtier and less consistently.

Grain shape
Spherical grains flow like liquid through a measure and a case mouth, which is the entire reason this powder exists. Burn rate is set by ball diameter and the depth of the deterrent coating rather than a cut wall, and like flake it is degressive — surface falls as it burns, so the energy comes early and an overcharge has no cushion.
