A very slow magnum rifle powder intended for the largest overbore cases, sitting a step below MRP in burn rate.
Discontinued and gone from Norma's catalogue - anything you find is old stock. It was slower than MRP, the slowest powder Norma listed, for the largest overbore cases. Norma 217 fills roughly that slot now. Worth using if you have it and have data for it; not worth chasing.

Grain shape
Extruded stick, geometry unpublished, with a very thick web that placed it below MRP - the wall the flame must burn through is the only thing that separated the two.

No longer listed in Norma's current gunpowder catalogue - Norma's index shows eleven powders and MRP-2 is not among them. Any MRP-2 encountered today is old stock. Norma 217 occupies broadly the same slot in the current lineup.
