Alliant Reloder 19
A heavy rifle powder for most medium and heavy rifle loads. Alliant calls it the powder of choice for .30-06 and .338 calibers.
A steady, well-mannered heavy rifle powder that has quietly produced accuracy in .30-06 and .270 Winchester for decades and reaches up into .338 Winchester Magnum. It meters better than most extruded powders of its size and fills those cases well, which is a real part of why it shoots consistently. It is not temperature-stabilised, so a load worked up in one season deserves a look in another before a hunt. There is nothing exotic about it — it is what you pick when you want a standard big-game cartridge to simply work.

Grain shape
Extruded stick with a thicker web than RL-17: same process, more wall for the flame to cross, which is the ladder these powders form on shared chemistry. Its grain size drops through a measure reasonably well, but a stick still bridges where a sphere flows.

Alliant emphasises superb accuracy plus excellent metering and consistency. Light magnum rifle loads are listed as a secondary use.

Slower than Reloder 17, faster than Power Pro 4000-MR - a standard-to-light-magnum rifle speed.
