Vihtavuori N120
Suits small-capacity rifle cases, light bullets and short-barrelled rifles. Vihtavuori positions it for sport shooters, short-range target work and small-game hunting.
A fast rifle powder for small cases, light bullets and short barrels: .222 Remington, .223, 7.62x39 and .300 Blackout. It is the answer when a mid-range powder is still burning as the bullet leaves the muzzle. Vihtavuori notes it needs more pressure than N110 to perform properly, and that is the practical caution: run it soft and it gets inconsistent rather than pleasantly mild.

Grain shape
Among the physically smallest grains in the N100 range, tubular and neutral-burning. The small size is why it meters easily, and the thin web is why it sits near the fast end of the ladder.
