Hodgdon Hybrid 100V
A high-energy medium-slow rifle powder for standard and magnum hunting cartridges.
Ball-powder chemistry shaped into a very short extruded grain, aimed at giving stick-powder energy with ball-powder metering in the H4350-to-H4831 window. On paper it should be a standout in .270 Winchester, 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum, and in some rifles it is exactly that. In practice it never built the following H4350 has, and it is not an Extreme powder, so it moves with temperature in a class where the competition does not. Worth trying if it is on the shelf and the temperature-stable options are not; not worth hunting for.

Grain shape
Very short shaped grains — short enough to flow through a measure like ball, with a web set for the medium-slow band. The practical payoff is thrown charges considerably more uniform than any full-length stick powder of the same burn speed.

Hodgdon classifies its form as 'hybrid' — spherical-powder chemistry given an extruded, very short shaped granule, which is intended to give extruded-style performance with smooth metering.
