Ramshot Hunter
A big-game hunting powder for medium and short-magnum cartridges.
The reason to keep Hunter on the shelf is printed on the label: it is effectively the ball powder in the IMR 4350 speed band, so you get 4350-class performance in .270 Winchester, .300 WSM and .338 Winchester Magnum with metering no extruded powder at that speed can match. It fills the short magnums well. Not temperature stable, which is the usual double-base ball caveat for a hunting powder that will meet a cold morning.

Grain shape
Spherical, degressive, thick web. The payoff is at the measure: sticks in this burn range bridge and shear, and this drops the same charge every time, on a bench thrower or a progressive.

Manufacturer's headline claim is that it is the only spherical powder in the popular 4350 burn range, which is what gives it metering behaviour that extruded powders of the same speed cannot match. Made in Belgium.
