A clay-target shotshell powder for trap, skeet and sporting clays, with secondary use in light target and Cowboy Action handgun loads.
A very fast single-base flake for clay targets - trap, skeet, sporting clays - with a side career in light .45 ACP target loads. It is bulky, clean and carries a long history under the Scot name. The practical problem is channel rather than performance: Hodgdon still charts it and publishes bushing data, but it is not on Hodgdon's own shop, so you are buying through distributors when they happen to have it.

Grain shape
Flake, and therefore steeply degressive - the plate has all its surface exposed at ignition and dumps its gas immediately, which is what a light shot charge wants and what makes an overcharge dangerous rather than merely warm. Flakes bulk high and meter acceptably in a shotshell bushing but bridge more than a ball powder in a pistol measure.

Accurate's own literature describes Solo 1000 as an extremely fast burning, single-base flake powder noted for clean burning. It remains on Hodgdon's current relative burn-rate chart and is selectable in the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center, and Hodgdon publishes bushing data for it, but it has no listing on Hodgdon's own direct-sale shop, so retail supply runs through distributors.
