The go-to Accurate powder for reduced rifle loads and for large-capacity black-powder cartridge cases, plus magnum handgun use.
The reduced-load specialist, and the reason a lot of people keep an Accurate can on the shelf at all. Low bulk density and unusually strong ignition let it burn cleanly at loading densities that leave most rifle powders half-burned, which is why it owns cast-bullet .45-70, the .45-90 and .50-90 black-powder cartridge cases and the reduced-load corner generally. It is also the sane answer in .17 Hornet. Where it bites people is treating that flexibility as licence to freelance - it is still an energetic double-base powder in a big case with a lot of air in it.

Grain shape
Extruded rather than spherical, unlike most of the fast end of the Accurate line, and deliberately bulky - the low density is what puts a light charge in contact with the primer and keeps ignition from going position-sensitive.

Manufacturer emphasises low bulk density and strong ignition, which is what makes it usable across an unusually wide performance range including heavily reduced rifle loads. Extruded rather than spherical, unlike most of the fast Accurate line. Made in Canada.
