The magnum handgun powder here - .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, 10mm Auto and the big S&W cases. Its real virtue is case fill: in .357 SIG and 10mm it takes up the room fast powders leave empty, and in the huge revolver magnums it is a cheaper way to load them. Like every slow ball revolver powder it wants a heavy crimp and a working charge; downloading it is where people find unburned powder in the cylinder and velocity all over the place.

Grain shape
Spherical, thick web, degressive. The thick wall is what makes it slow, and it needs real pressure behind it to burn the grain all the way through - which is why crimp and charge weight matter more here than with a medium-speed powder.

Manufacturer highlights case-fill in 357 SIG and 10mm Auto, and notes it also works as an economical target-load option in the very large revolver magnums.
