Developed for the .338 Lapua Magnum and adopted hard by military sniping, long-range precision and ELR shooters. It was deliberately placed to split the gap between N560 and N570, which tells you it was made to solve a specific problem in big magnum cases rather than to be versatile. The claim set is the strongest in the line, with extreme temperature stability, improved humidity stability and a decoppering agent, and this is the class of shooting where those claims actually get tested.

Single-perforated extruded grains the same physical size as N560, so the surface treatment does the burn-rate work here rather than the web. Neutral-burning tube, which is what keeps pressure controlled in a case holding this much powder.
