A 12-gauge-only powder built around low charge weight, mild report and minimum recoil, with low residue to go with it. For high-volume clay shooting where felt recoil is the limiting factor over a long day, that combination is exactly the point. It is very fast and its window is narrow. Hodgdon lists no other gauge and no handgun application, and there is no sensible reason to improvise one from chart position.

Grain shape
Flattened spherical grains — degressive, with all their surface working at the start, which is how they give a quick clean burn at a low charge weight. They drop through a bushing with almost no variation.

Flattened spherical granules that meters very well. Hodgdon cites mild muzzle report, minimum recoil and reduced residue. Explicitly a 12-gauge powder — Hodgdon does not list it for other gauges.

Very fast shotshell, immediately slower than Perfect Pattern and faster than Alliant Red Dot.
